The oak project was being developed from autumn to spring with a short break and has its own story.

In September, I signed up for a woodworking course. The idea was to delve into the secrets of wood processing, including CNC machine operation. In practice, it involved participants of the course working on their own wood projects. Everything was done on professional, high-quality machines under the guidance of an instructor, but without the traditional mode of learning. For me, 90% of it was achievable in my own workshop. That’s why in January, I stopped attending the course weekly.

However, I started quite a solid and complicated project of four stools that can be assembled into one. The idea was inspired by something I saw on the internet.
The material used was solid oak wood. Since I wanted to see how a professional CNC works, the seats were machine-cut during the course. My Stepcraft 600 next to that machine looked like a toy car for a child.

The legs are connected with metal brackets. In total, I needed 16 of them. When you add oak to the equation, it turns out that this project weighs almost 20 kg in total.

Oak is oak. After oiling and polishing, it gained a noble look.
