I received a typical carpentry order. After a long time of creating objects using a laser or CNC, here I used saws, planers, drills, Proxxon tools and grinders etc. Typical work with boards.
There were some obstacles. The price of wood has recently increased significantly and, in order to save money and not to put too much money, I looked for a very cheap material. Unfortunately, saving does not always pay off, so costs and time have increased unexpectedly.
However, I saw it as a new challenge. It was my first screen and I really wanted to have it in my collection of works.
Although the new material is ordinary spruce, the macrame screen was given a mahogany color as requested by the client. additionally I covered it with a layer of wax.
The effect turned out to be beneficial, although it differed, of course, from the original mahogany wood.
And one more interesting fact about photographing a screen. It is quite a challenge. At least for me. The choice of light and background for the room turned out to be beyond my strength. Luckily, it did not rain that day and only the photos taken in the garden showed the authentic shapes of the object.
