Once again, I immersed myself in a new project for several weeks.
I love challenges where I create something entirely new through trial and error.
This time, I worked on the “Melodie bliskości” sign, made as a special order for Dominika. The project required a lot of experimentation with a new material and learning a new milling technique.
Technical details
The sign had to be:
✔ illuminated with warm light,
✔ portable,
✔ durable,
✔ easy to install on stage.
On stage – because it was designed as a banner for Dominika’s concerts.
For the front panel, I chose paulownia – a type of wood with exceptional properties. While working with it, I discovered how well it handles, and I was truly impressed.
The rest of the structure consists of layers of beech plywood, with the entire sign standing on three supports. I connected the elements using a faux leather accordion, allowing the sign to be easily folded for transport.

The letters are filled with epoxy resin, which I later sanded with a milling machine to achieve the desired effect. Inside the structure, I placed LED strips emitting warm light.

Most important – the final impression
Technical details are one thing, but what mattered most to me was the impact of the finished sign.

You can read about how it was received in the description on Melodie bliskości’s Instagram.
